Types Of Government Anarchy

There are several types of government anarchy which can be based on the target audience, preferred community or federalism, and transitional plans. Anarchism began during the industrial revolution as the socialists introduced exploitation theory while the liberals introduced the adherence of human rights. Below are the most notable schools of thought and the various types of government anarchy both in the past and at present.

Philosophical anarchy

This was propounded by William Godwin and is believed to be the earliest types of government anarchy. The philosophical anarchy is rooted economic and political concepts which state that the state does not have moral legitimacy. It also contends that there is no duty or individual obligations to obey the laws of the state, which invariably means that the state does not have the full right to command its members. These types of government anarchy is said to have originated from individualist anarchism.

Mutualist anarchism

This deals with concepts such as cre3dit reform, federation, voluntary contract, free association, and reciprocity. A lot of mutualists are of the opinion that a market without the intervention of the government will ultimately bring the prices of goods and services down. A lot of mutualists are of the opinion that a market that has no government intervention will definitely bring the prices of goods and services down, eliminate interest, rent, and profit. This means that workers will compete favorably over forms while firms equally compete over workers, leading to a rise in wages. Some people see these types of government anarchy as a combination of collectivist anarchism and individualistic anarchism. Mutualism has equally been classified based on the contest of three philosophies – socialism, capitalism, and communism.

Social anarchism

This is a broad term which is used to identify different types of government anarchy based on the individualist approach. While in individualistic anarchy stress on rationality and autonomy, the social anarchism emphasize on individual freedom, mutual, and community aid. The social type of anarchy describes the tendency within anarchy that emphasizes on the cooperative and communitarian aspect of the anarchy theory. There are several types of government anarchy under social anarchism including social ecology, anarcho-syndicalism, libertarian socialism, anarcho-communism, and collectivist anarchism.

Collectivist anarchism

This is one of the most modern types of government anarchy as it does not agree with private ownership of property but rather a collective ownership. This type of anarchy can be initiated by a fraction of the elite group through propaganda or acts of violence. Here, workers will receive compensation for their work based on how much time they put in for the work instead of the anarcho-communism method which is based on the distribution of goods according to needs met.

Egoist anarchism

This was propounded by Max Stirner who stated that egoist anarchism is a system whereby an individual rejects a system, a doctrine, a good cause, or a great idea. They don’t go by the rules but follow whatever they believe and don’t pay heed to how people may fare thereby. Here, the only limitation an individual has is his power to gain whatever he wants.
