Types Of Food Nutrition
When it comes to health the main factor to consider is the various types of food nutrition because these help assess how good/healthy a certain food item may be for a person. So, when your doctor or a nutritionist tells you to eat something they taking the types of food nutrition into account before determining whether or not a food item should be included or excluded in or from your diet. This is also the case with various diets such as high-protein, high-carbohydrate, high-fat, low-fat, low-carb diets or any other sort of diet. These diets take the types of food nutrition into account too.
To know of the types of food nutrition is essential because this would help us assess our own diets. One of the many types of food nutrition is carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are what provide the body with the energy it requires to perform strenuous activities. Have you ever seen a tennis match? If yes you will probably have noticed how the players eat a banana in between. This is because the banana provides them with the instant energy they need to be able to perform well and to keep their muscles pumped and well-fed as well. Carbohydrates are broken down to glucose by the body so that it can function and provide it with energy for various activities.
Then, another of the many types of food nutrition is protein. Generally it is believed that though one can live without eating carbohydrates, they cannot do so where proteins are concerned because this is used to nourish the muscles and aid it in its wear and tear processes. Protein can be food in chicken, fish, pork, whey, milk, eggs, beef, beans and pulses and many other types of foods as well. If you’ve ever seen a movie on bodybuilding or bodybuilder, you’ll see how the actors gorge down large amounts of protein to provide their muscles with an adequate amount of protein for wear and tear.
Another of the various types of food nutrition is fat. There are various types of fats. The most dangerous of these are trans-fats which are believed to cause heart attacks and many other heart issues of the sort. Then, you’ve got saturated fats which are also believed to lead to heart attacks but they aren’t as bad as trans-fats. Lastly, you’ve got monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats which are said to be healthy because these are ‘simple’ fats which are the easiest to break down and keep you satiated.
These types of food nutrition are known as macronutrients. Other types of food nutrition are vitamins which are necessary for certain processes in the body. For example, vitamin E is important for night vision. People who do not take healthy amounts of night vision suffer from poor eyesight at night-time because of which they cannot drive or see around them in the dark. Various types of vitamins can be found in various foods but most people take ‘multivitamin pills’ to meet their bodies’ vitamin requirements.
