What are the different types of cloud computing? Cloud computing is a term used to describe diverse IT concepts. These include solutions and services that are IT based, too. Basically, cloud computing are services that are offered to business to lower their business expenses while being able to offer top of the line services as well. Cloud computing is located in the Internet. It is floating along the internet, much like clouds – hence the name. There are three different types of cloud computing. These types of cloud computing are called public clouds, private clouds, and hybrid clouds.
Public types of cloud computing are the most traditional of the three. Here, there cloud computing businesses allocate their resources so that they can outsource them over the web. These resources are pretty much their whole computer system and other IT services. These resources include, but are not limited to, hard drives, RAM, and processors. The cloud computing businesses outsource these resources on a per user basis. Therefore, businesses pay only the services that they need. The two most common public types of cloud computing are unlimited access and unlimited data capacity. Unlimited access, as the name implies, will allow the business to access their data everywhere, anytime. No matter where and how the business would want to access their data, they can if they have this plan. They don’t even have to have a computer to do so. If they have a smart phone that has internet access then it will do. Unlimited data capacity, on the other hand, are public types of cloud computing wherein a business can store and process pretty much all the data they need from the service.
Hybrid types of cloud computing combines software and hardware. If the public clouds are all hardware, hybrid allows software to be used over the clouds as well. Here, software are allowed to interact to other software through the internet cloud. Therefore, a business will be able to do pretty much everything (IT related, of course) they need to do every time they want. There are two types of hybrid types of cloud computing as well – hardware required and software required. Hardware required hybrids are those that will require the business to purchase hardware to interact with the cloud. Software required, on the other hand, will require the business to purchase certain software so they will be able to access their data.
Lastly, the private types of cloud computing are the next levels of the cloud computing technology. Here, the cloud will have pretty much all IT solutions that a business will need. These include workstations, servers, and applications. It allows data storage and access, too. This is why private cloud computing appeals to so many businesses nowadays. There are three main advantages of the private clouds. First, they ensure that your data has added security. It ensures that no data will leave the system without approval from you. Second is compliance enforcement. When you want something enforced, then it is done. Third, it allows the business to customize their entire IT network – no need for explanation there, right?
