Sarcoma is a type of cancer that is caused by transformed cells originated from mesenchyme. There are around fifty types of sarcoma tumors.

BONE SARCOMA

One among the types of sarcoma tumors that are formed in bones and result in destruction of the normal bone tissue is called as bone sarcoma. Bone sarcoma is a malignant tumor that can spread to other parts of our body. Benign bone sarcoma tumors are also found and such types of sarcoma tumors are not cancerous and do not spread to other parts of our body.

SOFT TISSUE SARCOMA

The types of sarcoma tumors that are formed in the tissues that are spread across the body such as nerves, muscles, blood vessels etc. are called as soft tissue sarcoma.

ANGIOSARCOMA

Angio sarcomas are the types of sarcoma tumors that grow on the cells that act as the lining of our blood and lymph vessels. The types of sarcoma tumors that are formed on blood vessels are called as hemangiosarcomas and the one that affect the lymph vessel is called as lymphangiosarcomas.

CHONDROSARCOMA

Chondrosarcoma is one among the types of sarcoma tumors that grow in the cartilage and such tumors are malignant. These types of sarcoma tumors are mainly found in people of age group in between 50 and 80.

EWING SARCOMA

This is a type of tumor that is basically a small round blue cell tumor and are typically found in patients under 20 years age. These types of sarcoma tumors have many variants.

FIBROSARCOMA

A dangerous and cancerous tumor that forms on the fibrous tissues is called as fibrosarcoma. These types of sarcoma tumors are mainly found in legs,trunk or arm.

KAPOSI SARCOMA

The types of sarcoma tumors that are formed on blood vessel walls is termed as Kaposi sarcoma and these types of sarcoma tumors are cancerous and occurs mostly in patients with weakened immune system.

LIPOSARCOMAS

These types of sarcoma tumors are developed from the fat cell precursors and can be formed in any part of the body. However, these types of sarcoma tumors are mainly found in thighs or abdomen.

SYNOVIAL SARCOMA

This is a type of soft tissue sarcoma that is mainly developed in children and young adults and can occur in any part of the body. These types of sarcoma tumors are malignant and cancerous. Late detection will make it difficult for further treatment.

OSTEOSARCOMA

Osteosarcomas are the types of sarcoma tumors that occur to bone and are the most common bone tumors. These types of sarcoma tumors are found mostly in the knees and teenage people are found to be more vulnerable to osteosarcomas. Osteosarcomas can be treated by chemotherapy and restricting the tumor. Sometimes the treatment requires reconstruction of the skeletal structure too.

FIBROMATOSIS

Fibromatosis tumors are the types of sarcoma tumors that are benign and less dangerous. They are basically a group of slow growing benign tumors and grow usually in the fibrous tissues. Fibromatosis tumors do not generally spread to other tissues and organs.
