Doing researchers is not all about researching as you will have to be able implement the types of research validity too. You see, when you are researching, you will get to gather different and various amounts of data. But of course, you must be able to support these data by evidences and proofs and this is why you have to get to know the many types of research validity.

External types of research validity are validity measures that are general. You see, you must be able to validate the general details about the settings and the people that are involved in your study. You have to be able to mention variables in a generalized manner and be able to measure them too. This is the most basic of the types of research validity but this is vitally important as this will serve as your foundation that will prove the strength of your study.

Internal types of research validity are methods that will measure the effectiveness of the design or your research. You must be able to show here each of the steps that you have taken to get the data that are involved in your study. You have to be able to indicate each of the causes and effects to show the validity of the data you have gathered as well.

Test types of research validity are basically the testing part of validity methods. You must be able to test the data that you have in order to be able to support them and tell the world that they are indeed valid.

Criterion types of research validity pertain to the assessment that is done to validate the abilities that are involved in your study. This includes concurrent validity wherein you have to test the data that you have basing on a benchmark and correlation. Predictive validity, on the other hand, is a type of criterion validity that predicts the possibilities that will be present in your study.

Content types of research validity pertain to the estimation of the elements that are involved in your study. You see, you have to be able to make sure that you are able to support all the quantitative data that you have in your study and prove them to be valid.

Construct types of research validity pertain to the measurement of your validity tests to the claims or the default values. They must be able to show that they are all validated and related to the study that you are conducting. Convergent validity methods are those tests that will show the relationships of the data you have collected. Discriminant validity methods are the tests, on the other hand, that shows that there are no relationships in the study.

Face types of research validity pertains to your research study or project basing on the face value of it. This will define and support the claim that your study is indeed a good research study and that there will be many people who will be reading and getting a lot of benefits from it.
