Types Of Boilers

What are the types of boilers? A boiler is used to produce hot water for a central heating system. Usually this types of boilers is located in the building heated, or near. But the heat produced by this types of boilers is usually used to produce hot water consumption, using a heat exchanger.

Like any other boiler this types of boilers, it transforms chemical energy by burning fuels into heat.

For this purpose it is equipped with one or more burners which maintain the furnace flame, the heat is taken over by water, which flows through pipes located beside near the furnace. Types of boilers that are used it was adapted to the space size that has to warmed up. For heating an individual place (House, flat) it is sufficiently a power boiler relatively small. For heating more apartments (hotel, cottage) need a larger types of boilers, built as a heating floor. The wall power central have powers between 10 to 100 kW and used as fuel natural gas and rarely liquid fuel. Their gross thermal efficiency must be at least 90% for non-condensing centrals and in the case of condensing is higher; the method allows defining value exceeding 100 %.

Floor Plants have powers between 15 – 170 kW and can be constructed for both fuel gas, and liquid fuel (liquefied petroleum gas, oil) or solid (coal, wood). Heating boilers with high volume of water are the biggest types of boilers used for central heating.

They have a large volume of water, with three roads of gas. Their power can reach few megawatts. No longer built for solid fuels because, due to their high power, fuel supply manually would be very hard and a new mechanical power system requires additional installation, which brings complications. Their efficiency is less than 90%. In the case where in addition to heating and the steam is required for the various technological processes, for example washing with steam, sterilization, boiling with steam, requires a large steam boiler water, heating water is produced in an heat exchanger

Hot water boilers for heating, which requires very large thermal power were built hot water boiler, whose purpose is basically used for raising the water temperature heating at 150 degrees C in winter. Water is heated in tubes lining the furnace and in a series of beams of pipes placed out of focal point. Fuel used is natural gas or heavy fuel oil, but alternatives were made and burning coal. Forced circulation types of boilers have been used and still used in locomotives powered by steam. By these types of boilers water reaches a certain temperature required by the system. The operating principle of forced circulation for this types of boilers requires the use of a scheme and a typical startup program. In these first invention for all types of boilers up to now have been upgraded, they are classified by type: BENSON, SULZER and RAMZIN.

Types of boilers with large water volume has the following advantages:

-high heat storage capacity;

-low sensitivity to the quality of water supply;

-possible light cleaning of heat exchange surfaces;

-generally simple operation.

Disadvantages of these types of boilers are:

-limited heating surface;

-small nominal pressure;

-low specific flow.
